Some foods are simply good ‘ole comfort foods, like this classic Chicken a la King. It’s also so versatile. Some people add mushrooms and peppers. I don’t, but you do your own thing. This creamy concoction can be served over biscuits as I did here, or over pasta, rice, toast, or mashed potatoes. Pick your preference.
If you do want to serve it over biscuits, you don’t need a flaky biscuit recipe with lots of flaky layers. You simply need a soft biscuit recipe. Here is my super quick and easy Buttermilk Drop Biscuits recipe, if you need a good biscuit recipe to complement this recipe.

Made the recipe this morning to serve it tonight over rice. It’s not traditional necessarily, but it’s delicious and fit in with everyone’s food likes. They asked me to save the recipe. Thanks for sharing this. I went through about a dozen recipes, and I’m glad I found yours.
Hi Jacie, You’re welcome! I’m so glad it was a hit with your family! 🙂
Made this last night. Served with the recommended biscuits. Phenomenal. My husband was so pleased it tasted like a dish he used to get at a local restaurant. So easy. I used a rotisserie chicken. Its unbelievably delicious.
